However, that&#39;s only the thin end of the wedge.<br /><br />I have several Gentoo systems with multiple USB-serial interfaces, identified by a mix of custom VID/PID (yes, I have a patched kernel for that) and serial numbers. I have a set of udev rules to rename these interfaces from the unpredictable ttyUSBx to something meaningful and consistent.<br /><br /> THIS NO LONGER WORKS<br /><br />udev-197 has completely broken this, and as far as I can tell doesn&#39;t even manage to create symlinks (the &quot;udevadm test&quot; dummy operation does create the symlinks, but hotplugging doesn&#39;t).<br /><br />Frankly, I&#39;m going to back it out and blacklist udev-197Rob Pearcehttp://www.facebook.com/rob.pearce.710[email protected]
